Questions to Ask Your Wedding Venue - Part 2
This is a 3 part series on questions you should be asking your wedding venue before booking them! Check out part 1 here! After you you have the basic questions to ask, here are some questions regarding other wedding wedding vendors & staffing and rentals & decor to ask your wedding venue.
VENDORS & STAFFING
· Is there a preferred vendor list that I need to use or can I use whichever vendors I choose?
· Can venue accommodate a DJ & Live Band?
· What security does the venue have?
· Is there a coat check?
· Who will be the point person on the wedding night (do they have an event coordinator?)
· How long will their coordinator be on site
· Will the coordinator help pack up gifts and décor at the end of the night?
DECOR & RENTALS
· Are there any rentals included in the space? (tables, chairs, linens- ask to see them all)
· If you have to rent items, can they provide estimates for what they will cost?
· Will their staff be involved in setting up and breaking down the décor? In what capacity?
· Will they set up escort cards, place cards, programs on chairs, menus on napkins etc?
· Are there any inventory of decors such as candles, lighting, that you could use
· Can we move things around or does it all need to stay where it is?
· Do they provide heaters or umbrellas for outside space?
· Are there any restrictions on décor?
· Can we hang things (from wall or ceiling)
· Is open flame allowed? (candles)
