Kanny & David- Brooklyn New York Wedding- Deity
This spring and summer wedding season has been a crazy whirlwind!! Hence why I have not blogged any of my amazing couples weddings. So it’s better late than never to get started huh?
We are going to rewind back to 2015 for Kanny & David. My bride Kanny saw my feature on 100 Layer Cake and reached out to me about design and planning for her upcoming wedding. Her design ideas were right up my ally, blush mixed with accents of gold and mint. Perfection. While we set out to find a venue for their wedding, Kanny really loved the exposed brick look. We wanted to offset the industrial brick and bring in a more feminine feel with the flowers. We found Deity and instantly fell in love and set the date for April 29th, 2016.
After a little under a year of wedding planning, their wedding day had arrived! The bridal party got ready at The Empire Hotel in NYC and took a few pictures at Lincoln Center. Oh my gosh they were stunning.
The flowers really brought the space together with the bright pinks, mixed with succulents and muted colors. The reception space was quite dreamy!
I remember feeling so welcomed by this couple and their family and friends and throughout the entire day you could feel the love from everyone that attended. I remember at the end of the night Kanny saying to me “what am I going to do without talking to you every day?” I honestly have heard this from so many brides and although its sad our “relationship” comes to an end, my heart is so happy to have been a part of their lives during such a memorable time.
